As all requests to the Amazon Product Advertising API (formerly Amazon Associates Webservice) have to be signed since August 15th we updated SimpleAAWS and also the outdated com_aaws component for Joomla. Customers may have already noticed that their SimpleAAWS and com_aaws installations are not working any more so please update as soon as possible. Customers who use SimpleAAWS only have to update SimpleAAWS itself but not the components using it (like com_simpleaaws for Joomla, the standalone app or the wordpress plugin). |

And the times, they are a-changin'  . Some days passed since the release of SimpleAAWS and there are a lot of news today. We do not only have a joomla plugin and a standalone application, the latest release is a wordpress plugin for SimpleAAWS. You can find it in our download section. For demonstration purposes we have our affilimania.net IT blog. Another new item is a joomla module that shows all main categories of SimpleAAWS. There is not a demo for this module, that would let that site explode  . We want to install a separate Joomla demo system soon. Nevertheless, do not hesitate to download this module in our download section and to try it out . For these new releases some changes needed to be done at SimpleAAWS. Therefor it is available in version 1.01 now. Happy affiliating .... |

When your customers order products using SimpleAAWS 6% of the comissions earned at Amazon go to affilimania.net. It is not 6% of every order but for 6% of the checkouts our affiliate id is used and for 94% yours. How can you check if your associate id is really used at 94% of the checkouts? Actually you could do 100 checkouts to test that but a few tests should be enough. Directly after checkout you can see the used associate id in the adress bar of your internet browser so that you can check which is used. But remember to delete all cookies of your website before every test. Otherwise always the same assiciate id is used. |

Which system requirements are needed for SimpleAAWS? |

To install SimpleAAWS you need the following system requirements: - SimpleAAWS is only running with PHP5
- The ioncube loader has to be installed or your webserver should allow dynamic extensions to load the ioncube mudule at runtime. To check if your hosting service is able to run SimpleAAWS yon can download the iocube loader in our dowload section and see if it runs in your environment.
For germany we suggest our partner Alfahosting. For our international customers we suggest our US partner Host Color. Their you can get webspace that is easy to use with CMS- or Blog-Systems like Joomla. At Alfahosting from the Starterpaket on the ioncube loader is included in the hosting packages. This site is also runnig at Alfahosting. On Host Color systems you can easily let activate the ioncube loader by their great support team. |
