As all requests to the Amazon Product Advertising API (formerly Amazon Associates Webservice) have to be signed since August 15th we updated SimpleAAWS and also the outdated com_aaws component for Joomla. Customers may have already noticed that their SimpleAAWS and com_aaws installations are not working any more so please update as soon as possible. Customers who use SimpleAAWS only have to update SimpleAAWS itself but not the components using it (like com_simpleaaws for Joomla, the standalone app or the wordpress plugin). This is possible. You can remove a category if you do not want to use it. You can also change the starting node id.

No, the categories are not ordered strictly hierarchically at amazon, so I think it is not possible. You can only get them by browsing my site for example.

No, it is not possible at the moment. The only way to select items is by adding a searcg string.

I think many might use your solution with deeper documentation and customization so we can build a true niche store.
I would glady give 5 stars if the customization was available but I need to adjust the appearance and have some control over menu names and where they go, catergories. I think you can do most of what I asked but I don't have days to experiment exspecially when sharing 6%.
That said, this has a lot of potential and I don't mind sharing the wealth if this works well and support is professional otherwise hiring a programmer is a better solution.
What is the current feature set and expected?
Can you provide syntax examples?
